Currently, the 23rd season of Pokemon the Series is airing on television in Japan, and on Netflix in the USA. It is based off the 8th Generation of Pokemon games, Pokemon Sword and Shield which added 87 new Pokemon. The region added is named Galar, which is based off the United Kingdom.
The airing season is titled Pokemon Journeys, and follows Ash Ketchum as he travels the world with his new friend, Goh.
As the series is still airing, there is limited information about Ash's current travels. However, Journeys does not follow the conventions of previous regions where Ash largely remains in the one region. Instead, Ash and Goh travel the Pokemon world together, visiting old and new locations.
